Cruisers was established in 1988 by Ruth and Peter Griffiths.
I am Jonathan
their younger son and from the very beginning, at the age of twelve I was an
eager helper, only too keen to show off my boat handling skills, sometimes
with embarrassing consequences !! Twenty years on I have now taken over the
business and run it with my partner Camilla. Being involved from the
beginning I have learned how important it is to provide the committed and
professional service our guests deserve.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our
boats, they are clean, modern, reliable and well equipped.

The Visit Britain narrowboat grading scheme is your assurance of hiring a good quality narrowboat
for your holiday. We have been members of this scheme for over 9 years, and their annual inspection of our fleet means that we cannot become complacent about our standards. All our
narrowboat hire boats have been awarded the upper range of four stars (out of a maximum of five.) Under the scheme a 4 star narrowboat
hire boat is described as 'very good to excellent overall quality. Higher comfort levels and evident attention to detail throughout'. Our commitment to independent inspection means that you can book
your narrowboat hire holiday with complete confidence. We are happy for you to visit our marina to see our
