Newydd Bed and Breakfast accommodation
If you are looking for comfortable bed and
breakfast accommodation in the beautiful Brecon area of South Wales then
look no further! Just 3 miles south of Brecon is Ty Newydd, a
farmhouse which has changed little in appearance since it was built around
1720.
A magnificent range of stone outbuildings
surrounds the courtyard and are gradually being restored. The house itself
offers guest house accommodation in comfortable rooms with en-suite
facilities, colour tv, central heating etc. and of course superb views. Its
location is quite superb with open views to Pen-y-Fan, the highest point of
the Brecon Beacons just a few miles away.
Some of the most attractive countryside
in Wales is literally on the doorstep making the house an ideal base for
exploration, whether it be a quiet towpath stroll or an energetic walk in
the Beacons. Pony trekking, sailing, cycling, canoeing, caving . . . . all
are available nearby. A little further afield are Hay-on-Wye - the second
hand book capital of the world; Ystradfelte- an area of waterfalls and
wooded walks; the Rhondda valley as beautiful as the sound of the choirs
which make it a household name. (No, it's not all mines and slag heaps!) and
Cardiff the capital city of Wales.
A small marina was constructed in 1988
providing private moorings, as well as a modern base for the Cambrian
Cruisers Hire Fleet, complete with covered dry and wet docks for maintenance
work. It is not surprising that clients who come for a Cambrian Cruise one
year return another to stay at Ty Newydd. Like our boats, Ty Newydd offers
something special.
